Blackburn Rovers v Peterborough United (1945 BST, Sky Sports Football)
Ewood Park takes centre stage in the three-team scrap for automatic promotion from Sky Bet League One as Blackburn bid to pull eight points clear in the automatic promotion places when they host Peterborough.
Wigan beat Oxford 1-0 on Tuesday night to move three points clear of Rovers at the summit but Tony Mowbray's men maintain a five-point advantage over third-placed Shrewsbury, who lost 2-0 at home to Charlton last time out.
That leaves Blackburn as short as 1/25 for a top-two finish.
Bristol Rovers' late equaliser in Saturday's 1-1 draw at the Memorial Stadium was a blow to Rovers but that is one of few recent disappointments for Mowbray and his squad.
Blackburn have only suffered one defeat in their 17 League One games in 2018 and have won all of their previous three home games without conceding a goal.
Mowbray's side haven't lost on their own turf since falling to defeat against AFC Wimbledon way back on September 16, 2017.
Peterborough have stuttered in their bid for a play-off finish, they've only won one of their previous six matches, though that doesn't make victory a simple task for the hosts on Thursday night.
Posh have just won one of their last nine outings but they've drawn at Wigan and fourth-placed Rotherham during that run to show there is mettle to Steve Evans' outfit.
Blackburn will edge to victory but I reckon the three-point haul will come after a quiet opening to the match.
Peterborough have been level at the break in five of their last six away games and Blackburn's previous three matches have failed to produce an advantage for either side at the interval.
There's odds-against on offer for the draw at half-time and that's worth taking to make things interesting after the break.
In-form Peterborough striker Jack Marriott also has to be backed for a goal at over 2/1.
The former Luton forward is bidding to net for the sixth away game in a row for Posh and boss Evans is expecting plenty of interest in one of League One's stars this summer.
"Jack is wanted by several big Championship clubs and I can tell you exclusively today that one European club have been watching him closely in recent weeks - and on Thursday sought a valuation from our chairman. Mark my words, this kid is going to the top," Evans told the Football League Paper.
Marriott has a four-goal advantage at the top of the top scorer standings and the price is back for the striker to prove his class in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
Score prediction: Blackburn 2-1 Peterborough (Sky Bet's odds: 7/1)
Best bet: Half-time draw in Blackburn v Peterborough at 143/100
Alternative bet: Jack Marriott to score in Blackburn v Peterborough at 11/5
