Snakebite landed his first success of the season at the televised German Darts Masters on Saturday night and followed that up by winning Players Championship 19 in Barnsley on Tuesday.
Just 24 hours later he made it back-to-back Pro Tour titles with a string of sensational displays that culminated in an 8-1 thrashing of Joe Cullen, averaging 105.3 in the process.
That wasn't even his best average of the day as he twice registered marks over 108 during his 6-1 and 6-0 demolition jobs over Jeffrey de Zwaan (108.9) and Devon Peterson (108.7) respectively while he only dipped below 100 once in his seven games - a 6-4 first-round victory over Madars Razma.
He also edged out Alan Norris 6-5 with an average of 103.2 before his first 6-0 victory over the day against Matt Clark, averaging 103.7, while he posted one of 103.2 in a 7-2 semi-final thumping of Adrian Gray.
Overall this latest success in the last event before the Betfred World Matchplay, which kicks off in Blackpool on Saturday, means he's won 18 matches on the trot, averaging over 100 in nine of them (including six in a row today) and can boast an overall mark of 101.26 during this hot streak.
Wright, who now has 25 PDC titles to his name, told www.pdc.tv: "I wanted to up my 101 average from yesterday and I know Joe is warming up for the Matchplay so I had to be at my best.
"The change in my darts is making things a lot easier. If the first dart goes in the treble 20 and I don't follow it with the other two, I'm disappointed. Winning three titles in five days is definitely a confidence boost going into the World Matchplay and it should be a great tournament."
Despite defeat with the £10,000 winners' cheque on the line, it was a great day for Cullen who reached his first final on the Pro Tour since winning two Players Championship titles in 2017 and his run included victories over Jermaine Wattimena and Gerwyn Price before overcoming Rob Cross in the quarter-finals and Adrian Lewis in the last four.
Meanwhile there was a curious incident in a match between Steve Beaton and Jose Justicia, when a dart from the Adonis seemed to bounce out before ending back in treble 20.
What The Hell! How did that stay in, @Stevebeaton180 with a crazy shot. #PC20 #darts pic.twitter.com/ySrZGPxeoE
