Michael van Gerwen won the German Darts Masters for the third year in a row with 6-2 victory over Jelle Klaasen in the final.
The world number one never looked back after an 11-darter in the opening leg and went on to average 107.33 during a commanding display over his fellow Dutchman as he capped off a superb day in Jena in style.
Van Gerwen had earlier posted averages of 110.78, 105.23 and 100.58 as he despatched Cristo Reyes (6-3), Raymond van Barneveld (6-3) and Simon Whitlock (6-2) respectively en route to the final while he only dropped 11 legs in his five matches across the weekend.
His third-round win over Reyes was his second successive average over 110 having done so in his 6-1 thrashing of John Michael on Sunday night.
He hit 26 180s in total while his highest checkout of 164 came in his thrilling quarter-final triumph over van Barneveld, who also took out a 160 to delight the crowd.
After scooping the top prize of £25,000 and the 15th European Tour title of his career, the 27-year-old said: "Here I played fantastically. I averaged 110 in two games, 108 in another – you can’t really ask for any more.
"I love what I do, I love to perform for the great crowds like we have here in Germany and I can’t wait to get back up on the stage."
Van Gerwen has now won four tournaments this season since being crowned world champion for a second time at the start of January while it's also his first victory of the 2017 European Tour campaign having lost to Peter Wright in the final of the German Darts Championship.
Klaasen, who was recently relegated from the Premier League after an injury-hit season, will be encouraged by his form having beaten Jeffrey De Graaf (6-5), Kyle Anderson (6-4) and James Wade (6-3 to reach his first final of the season.
Wade will be disappointed not to have booked a clash with MVG having seen off the in-form Peter Wright in the quarter-finals.
