This was the second Friday in a row that the legendary Power turned out in the online tournament, which features six permanent players each week competing in a round robin format, and once again proved he still got what it takes to produce the goods, averaging an overall 96.8 across his five matches.
Even during his opening 4-1 defeat to rising Dutch star Wessel Nijman, who averaged a stunning 112, the 16-time world champion posted a mark of 106 while he also recorded 92 in a 4-2 loss against the impressive table-topper David Evans.
Those two disappointments came either side of a 4-0 thrashing of Michael Warburton with the help of a 97 average but he was pushed all the way by three-time Lakeside king Martin Adams in high-quality clash that went all the way unlike last Friday's whitewash in Taylor's favour.
The elder of the two legends, Adams, went 2-0 up with checkouts of 153 and 121 checkouts only for Taylor to take four of the next five legs and finish up with an average of almost 98.
The 59-year-old's next challenger was the Queen of the Palace, who fired in a pair ton+ finishes to stay well in the game despite averaging five points lower than Taylor's 92 before missing out in a deciding leg.
Sherrock had earlier picked up a victory over Michael Warburton and followed her defeat to Taylor by throwing a 160 checkout to seal a stunning 5-2 triumph against Wessel Nijman.
The Milton Keynes star then made it six points from eight on the night by taking out 152 and 140 in a superb 5-1 thrashing of Wolfie although she's some way off Evans in the overall standings.
- A Night At The Darts is an online tournament that is running in conjunction with the MODUS Icons of Darts League, which takes place every afternoon and also features six players each week.
