The world number one is 8/11 from 4/6 to lift the trophy for a second year in a row - and third time overall - as he seeks a fifth TV crown in succession having triumphed at the European Championship, World Series of Darts Finals, Grand Slam of Darts and Players Championship Finals in a relentless run of form.

He's now won 28 competitive matches in a row dating back to his shock first-round loss to John Henderson at the World Grand Prix back in October.

Gary Anderson is next in the betting at 7/1 (from 6/1) to regain the title having lost last January's final to MVG while UK Open champion Peter Wright, who has won 11 PDC titles this season, is 12/1 from 8/1.

Phil Taylor is appearing in his last ever tournament before his retirement and you can back him at 14/1 (from 10/1) for a fairytale 15th PDC world title and 17th overall.

The Power has already bagged one big major in his final year following his incredible run at the World Matchplay, which included a thumping victory over MVG in the quarter-finals. But this would obviously top the lot.

Next in the running is rising star Rob Cross at 16/1 from 10/1.

Voltage, a former electrician, is enjoying a stellar debut campaign on the PDC circuit with four Players Championship titles while he also reached a major TV final at the European Championship.

Other big names include World Grand Prix champion Daryl Gurney (40/1 from 33/1), Champions League of Darts winner Mensur Suljovic (50/1 from 40/1) as well as former world champions Adrian Lewis (50/1 from 40/1) and Raymond van Barneveld (66/1 from 50/1).
