The 10th PDC European Tour event of the season took place from September 8-10 with the inaugural German Darts Grand Prix in Mannheim as world number one Michael van Gerwen claimed his 12th title of the season.

It was the odds-on tournament favourite's second successive European Tour crown since returning to the oche after the birth of his first child Zoe in August having also landed the Dutch Darts Masters for the fourth year in a row the previous Sunday.
