Gary Anderson withdraws from the World Grand Prix darts due to the impending birth of his second child

Gary Anderson has pulled out of the World Grand Prix due to the impending birth of his second child with his partner Rachel and his place in the 32-man field will be taken by Mark Webster.

The world number two, who was runner-up to Michael van Gerwen in last year's double-start event in Dublin, will remain at home in Somerset with Rachel.

Following Anderson's withdrawal, under PDC Rule 3.7 the Scot is replaced by Webster, who was the next non-qualified player from the PDC Order of Merit - from which the Scot had qualified.

Webster is a direct replacement for Anderson in the draw bracket, meaning that the Welshman will take on Richard North in Monday's first round in Dublin.

Webster was a semi-finalist in the World Grand Prix two years ago on his most recent appearance in the double-start format, and also reached the quarter-finals on his debut in 2011.

* Sky Bet have confirmed that all bets involving Anderson will be voided - including the outright market and Price Boosts!
