2017 has been yet another season where Leicestershire have struggled in the County Championship, but punched well above their weight in the NatWest T20 Blast.
Since the T20 competition was launched in the UK back in 2003, the Foxes have won it three times and also reached two semi-finals despite being perennial members of the second tier in the four-day game.
This season saw them claim a last-gasp quarter-final place after they pulled off a narrow two-run victory over comfortable North Group winners Nottinghamshire.
It typified the fighting spirit of a side captained by Australian seamer Clint McKay.
Now 34 and in the twilight of a stellar white-ball career, he has vast experience of the game's shortest format having played in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, as well as the Big Bash in his native Australia for Melbourne Stars and the Sydney Thunder.
His experience has really come to the fore during this campaign and his 22 wickets during the group stage were three more than any of his closest rivals.
McKay managed at least one wicket in each of the 11 group games he played, including a career-best haul of five for 11 against Worcestershire at New Road.
His strike-rate of 10.9 is also the best in the competition and crucially he is capable of getting wickets at both ends of the innings.
McKay has led by example all season and I expect him to do the same in this game as the Foxes travel to Glamorgan bidding for a semi-final place.
While T20 remains very much a batsman's game, prolific bowlers like McKay are so vital and the 7/2 being offered by Paddy Power for him to be Leicestershire's top bowler looks more than generous to me.
