Leicestershire make it four wins from four in NatWest T20 Blast

Leicestershire secured their fourth Natwest T20 Blast victory from four after a 27-run win over Durham to remain top of the North Group.

Victory was secured here after they collapsed to finish on 144-8 despite having been 100-2.

Durham's reply never got going, Colin Ackermann and Callum Parkinson each taking two wickets to reduce the Jets to 39 for five.

Durham's captain Paul Coughlin made a belligerent unbeaten 42, but his side mustered only 117-8 and still sit bottom of the group with three defeats from three games.

In the South Group, Kent's Matt Coles took the first hat-trick of this summer's competition but couldn't prevent his side slipping to defeat at Middlesex.

The seamer had dismissed James Franklin and John Simpson before bowling Tim Southee in the final over of their opponents' 179 for eight.

Brendon McCullumr returned to form, hitting six sixes in his 51-ball 88 for Middlesex. Kent could only manage 163 for eight in reply, struggling to recover from the early losses of Daniel Bell-Drummond and Joe Denly.

Jofra Archer inspired eighth-placed Sussex to inflict Hampshire's first defeat and earn their first win of the competition.

The fast bowler recorded figures of four for 18 from his four overs in the process of restricting Hampshire to 126.

Chris Nash and Ben Brown combined for an 82-run stand, and Chris Jordan struck the winning runs as Sussex eased to victory against the South Group table-toppers.
