Match report
Kusal Mendis followed a maiden one-day international century by top-scoring as Sri Lanka claimed a share of the series with a 70-run win over Bangladesh in Colombo.
The tourists were chasing a first series win in Sri Lanka after winning the opener, but an early batting collapse saw them fall well short and settle for a 1-1 draw in the three-match series.
The in-form Mendis, who hit 102 in the washed out second match, anchored the Sri Lanka innings as they set a challenging target of 281 for Bangladesh.
Danushka Gunathilaka (34) and Upul Tharanga (35) provided the early fireworks, but they fell in quick succession before Dinesh Chandimal was the victim of some sloppy running and run out for 21.
Mendis brought up his ninth ODI half-century before edging behind, while Thisara Perera added some vital late runs with a typically brutal half-century before becoming one of Mashrafe Mortaza's three victims at the back-end of the innings.
Nuwan Kulasekara struck twice with the new ball to effectively end Bangladesh's hopes, reducing them to 11 for three, before Soumya Sarkar (38) and Shakib Al Hasan (54) added some respectability to the score.
Teenage all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz added a defiant 51 late on before falling to Kulasekara, who finished with four for 37 as the Tigers were dismissed for 210 in the 45th over.
