Match report
Delhi Daredevils ended a five-game losing streak as they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets to move off the bottom of the IPL table.
Corey Anderson top-scored with 41 from 24 deliveries and hit the winning runs with five balls to spare.
Yuvraj Singh had earlier bludgeoned an unbeaten 70 from 41 balls to take the Sunrisers up to 185-3 from their 20 overs but it was not enough as a well-constructed chase saw the Daredevils to victory.
The Sunrisers openers got off to a flying start with David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan both quickly into their stride to put the Daredevils on the back foot.
Warner (30) was bowled by Mohammed Shami in the sixth over but the Sunrisers still racked up 66 from a highly productive powerplay.
Amit Mishra then dismissed Dhawan (28) before Kane Williamson fell victim to Shami, causing the run-rate to slow, but it proved merely to be the Sunrisers regaining their collective breath ahead of an almighty late onslaught.
Yuvraj, having been dropped on 29, and Moises Henriques (25no) let loose and smashed an incredible 71 from the final five overs of the innings, Kagiso Rabada bearing the brunt as he recorded figures of 0-59 from his four overs.
In response, the Delhi top order was equally aggressive from the outset.
Sanju Samson (24) and stand-in captain Karun Nair put on 40 for the first wicket before the former fell to the first ball of the fifth over.
Nair (39 from 20 balls) eventually fell to Siddarth Kaul but further useful contributions from Rishabh Pant (34) and Shreyas Iyer (33) kept the Daredevils up with the rate.
Anderson had been scoring steadily but exploded into life in the final few overs, launching three sixes into the stands with Chris Morris (15no from 7 balls) adding another maximum, before finishing the job with a four down the ground.
