There have been 36 different players who have scored breaks of 140 or more since snooker's World Championship moved to the Crucible in 1977. How many can you name?
Since the Crucible staged its first World Championship back in 1977, there have been 1,918 century breaks made at snooker's most prestigious tournament - not including the ongoing 2020 edition.
To demonstrate how the frequency of centuries has increased through the years, just six were made in 1977 compared to a record-breaking 100 in 2020!
There have been 119 different players to experience the feeling of compiling a ton inside this iconic venue on the biggest stage of all, with Ronnie O'Sullivan unsurprisingly compiling the most with 167 while John Higgins (150) and Stephen Hendry (127) are the only others to have achieved it 100 times.
Of these 1,918 century breaks, there have been 76 of 140 or higher - including 10 maximums - made by 36 different players.
How many of those 36 players can you name?
