Champion of Champions: Ronnie O'Sullivan makes 900th career century break in reaching final

Ronnie O'Sullivan made his 900th career century break as he booked his place in the final of the Champion of Champions with a 6-2 victory over Anthony Hamilton.

Hamilton edged the first two frames, but breaks of 124, 74 and 109 - the 900th century break of his career - in successive games put world number seven O'Sullivan 3-2 in front.

Hamilton, ranked 26th in the world, looked on course to claim the seventh game only to miss a straightforward red and allow O'Sullivan back into the frame.

O'Sullivan secured a spot in his fourth Champion of Champions final with a break of 78 in the eighth game and he is Sky Bet's 4/11 favourite to lift the trophy on Sunday.

The two other semi-finalists - Shaun Murphy and Luca Brecel who play on Saturday night - are both available at 9/2.

He told ITV4: "I'm really pleased to get through. I know how good he can be. If I miss I know he can clean up.

"At 2-0 down I was just thinking, 'life's good, you've got plenty going on ...' but that made me relax and it came good."
