Ronnie O'Sullivan powered through to the Ladbrokes Players Championship quarter-finals with a 6-1 win over Graeme Dott.
The result was never in doubt with breaks of 106, 62 and 51 helping O'Sullivan into a 5-0 lead before Dott briefly held up his victory charge by winning the sixth frame.
"A lot of the other players are burned out. I just chip up now and then and nick a few trophies,” said O’Sullivan in quotes reported by worldsnooker.com.
"I’m as fresh as a daisy because you have to pace yourself. I look at myself like a Ferrari – you can’t keep driving it every day, you have to polish it, clean it, keep it in the garage and keep the miles down. If you want to put 300,000 miles on the car you will wear it out pretty soon so I try to keep my mileage down."
O'Sullivan is a Sky Bet Price Boost at odds enhanced from 11/8 to 13/8 to win the tournament.
Neil Robertson finished with successive centuries as he saw off Luca Brecel 6-2.
In the afternoon session, Ryan Day's superb form continued as he beat Mark Selby 6-3.
The Welshman fought back to win the Romanian Masters on Sunday, his third title of the season, and there were no signs of a hangover as he opened with a 107 and signed off with a brilliant 133 in a convincing win.
Day was never behind as he inflicted another defeat on Selby, whose search for form ahead of the World Championship continues.
Next up for Day will be Mark Williams, who produced a dominant display to beat Yan Bingtao 6-3.
Williams managed breaks of 86, 67 and 64 and never looked in danger as he earned a quarter-final clash with his compatriot.
