The Qualifiers get underway on Thursday night as Widnes take on London Broncos, and the visitors have enough about them to wrap up the victory.

The Vikings have had an abysmal regular season, winning just three of their 23 in the league - and those were against Salford and Leeds who are both alongside them in the bottom four, alongside the opening day win over slow-starters Catalans.

In fact, their last victory came in mid-April, as they hammered League One outfit Coventry in the Challenge Cup.

What makes it worse is that they are struggling to even compete in these defeats, just two of their last 13 Super League games have seen less than six points in the final score.

On the contrary, London are full of confidence having snatched second place with a hefty 72-6 win over Barrow last time out - and have a decent record away from home throughout the course of the season.

They have beaten Featherstone, who narrowly missed out on a spot in the Championship top-four in recent weeks, alongside picking up a point away at Toulouse.

Widnes may have added Charlie Gubb, Liam Finn and Harrison Hansen in an attempt to turn around their fortunes, but it is a huge ask to try and galvanise a squad who have been on the end of bad result week-in, week-out.

London coach Danny Ward has insisted that the Broncos are not in the Super 8s Qualifiers to make up the numbers.

Ward's men have already defied the odds to secure a top-four finish in the Championship for the third successive year and the former Leeds forward insists they have their sights set on a return to Super League, where they last played in 2014.

"We didn't listen to what people were saying," said Ward, who was promoted to head coach following the departure of Andrew Henderson to Warrington at the end of last season.

"I wasn't surprised because I knew what the boys were capable of. I'm proud of the boys for what they've achieved this year."

Looking at the Super 8s, Catalans will be full of confidence when they travel to take on Warrington.

The Dragons have lost just two of their last 10 in all competitions, and hammered current leaders St. Helens in the semi-final of the Challenge Cup last weekend.

This clash will be a bit of a dress rehearsal for the final, with these two sides meeting at Wembley on August 25.

Both teams had to settle for a point in their regular season meeting at the Halliwell Jones Stadium - with Josh Drinkwater scoring a late penalty in a 22-22 scoreline in mid-July.

That said, Warrington are a tough side to beat at home. They have lost just three games in front of their home fans this season, and will see Catalans as an option to add another two points to their tally.

With that in mind, Catalans +12 on the handicap looks good value at 10/11.
