Free Rugby League World Cup betting tips: Ian Millward previews the quarter-finals

Australia v Samoa (+32) - Friday 0930GMT, Premier Sports

Australia have only conceded 10 points in the tournament so far through three games and although Samoa will be at full strength, the problem they have had is scoring points.

They only managed 14 in their last group match against Scotland so there are clear problems in attack and for that reason I would be keen on taking the unders in terms of total points in the match at around 48.5.

Another bet of interest would be Australia to win to nil while Dane Gagai to score two or more tries also catches the eye.

Tonga v Lebanon (+28) - Saturday 0400GMT, Premier Sports

Lebanon have managed just one victory against France and have been a bit of a spoiling team who will try and control the flow with slow play of the ball.

Tonga will have been boosted by their tremendous win last week over New Zealand and should cover the start here easily even with the chance of a down day following that performance.

We are at the stage of the tournament when you have to realise that it is just win the next game. It doesn’t matter if it is good points or bad points – just win!

New Zealand v Fiji (+16) - Saturday 0630GMT, Premier Sports

This is an interesting clash as New Zealand have scored the most points in the tournament so far while Fiji have conceded just 28.

New Zealand will have got a jolt having led against Tonga 16-2 at half-time but went on to lose the game but I expect them to win here, cover the start and book their place in the last four.

England v Papua New Guinea (+16) - Sunday, 0500GMT, BBC2 & Premier Sports

England are my best bet of the weekend and I fancy them in any market you like against Papua New Guinea.

This really looks like being their time and they are a real contender now to go all the way.

Papua New Guinea have played three very weak teams in the group stage so England in the half-time/full-time result market is rock solid although obviously a very short price.

I also take them to win and cover the start comfortably on Sunday in Melbourne.
