Newmarket July Meeting: Richard Fahey with his horse-by-horse guide for day two

Darkanna spearheads Richard Fahey's small but select team heading to Newmarket for day two of the July Meeting.

We have four runners on day two of the Newmarket July Meeting - starting with Stamp Hill in the opening  bet365 Handicap (Silver Bunbury Cup).

He's been a little out of form on the track for all we're very happy with at home. I've stuck cheekpieces on him for the first time here in the hope they're going to get him going. They need to as he's barely raised a gallop so far this season but his home work is encouraging.

Darkanna ran well at Royal Ascot when seventh in the Queen Mary. She needs to step up again in the Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes but with a small bit of improvement she'd have a shout of finishing in the first four and I'd be delighted with that.

Cullingworth won a valuable pot at Musselburgh at the beginning of the season but has struggled a little since.  He ran a little better at York last time though and needs to hold that form - and probably improve a bit - to go close in the Bet365 Handicap.

Guzman is a horse we like. He's quite nice and has won his two starts to date. He's growing on us and runs in the Price Bailey Nursery. We think he's still improving.
