LA DOLCE DOLLY has only gone up 4lb for opening her account at Plumpton last time and looks open to plenty of further improvement as a stayer. They've clearly been waiting for the weather to turn as she missed a couple of soft-ground assignments and it duly paid off. She'll be on or very close to the pace in this and should be hard to beat in her follow-up bid.

KURIMU - 4.55 Wolverhampton

Formerly trained by Chris Dwyer, KURIMU was an eyecatching fifth on debut for Archie Watson at Chelmsford last month and easing the filly 2lb on the back of it looks a lenient piece of handicapping. She should be sharper for that first run for 157 days, is eased slightly in class here and could also benefit from the drop back to six furlongs.

The four-year-old MIX DE GRIS stands out in this conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle as one with potential to do much better yet and it's hoped decent ground at Newcastle will play to the horse's strengths. A repeat of the grey's close-up fourth (of 13) over this course and distance in February might be good enough off a 2lb lower mark, and that's before any further progress is brought into the mix.

EVERYONESGAME - 3.22 Kempton (NAP)

In-form Demoiselle Kap is obviously going to be popular at Kempton but she's up again in the weights following last month's odds-on defeat Ludlow and looks worth taking on with EVERYONESGAME. The selection was rated 132 after joining Emma Lavelle from Charlie Longsdon, having won three times over hurdles - all on decent ground. She's was getting to grips with chasing with outings at Fontwell and Plumpton before the turn of the year and resumes with a fair amount of potential still in this sphere. Having come down to a mark of 117, it could be a productive spring/summer ahead for the mare if able to get her jumping together, something they've no doubt been working on a lot at home since the last effort.

HAALAND - 3.38 Lingfield

HAALAND could be up to causing a minor surprise in the staying handicap at Lingfield. The key point here is that Luke Morris is likely going to get his own way on the front end should be choose to adopt that approach and it would make plenty of sense given the overall pace scenario looks weak to say the least. The horse has slipped to a good mark again now, just a couple of pounds higher than when winning by six and a half lengths at Newcastle in October 2023. Having worn cheekpieces for the first time that day, it's encouraging to see the headgear back on here and he's got course form too having won at Lingfield over 10 furlongs a couple of years ago.

IP UP - 4.20 Fakenham

Ip Up18
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-4| J: Craig Nichol| T: Jedd O'Keeffe| OR:  114| C

Course form counts for plenty at Fakenham and while four of the five have already tasted success at this idiosyncratic venue, preference is for Jedd O'Keeffe's IP UP. The mare was a winner here in November 2023 before returning to record a solid second 12 months on, and her latest effort when possibly not quite seen to best effect from off the pace was a good run too. Eased a pound for last month's third, she's on a fair mark, fractionally below her last win, and she's pretty versatile in terms of underfoot conditions.

CARGIN BHUI - 7.00 Wolverhampton

Cargin Bhuip124
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-10| J: Callum Rodriguez| T: T D Barron| OR:  79| BF| C

CARGIN BHUI blew all chance by racing far too keenly in the first-time blinkers at Wolverhampton last time but looks worth another chance off a 1lb lower mark. Cheekpieces are the preferred headgear this time and if he's able to reproduce anything like his promising comeback effort when second at Southwell in February, this course winner should be right on the scene when it matters most.
