WATCHING STARS - 3.30 Newmarket (NAP)
He impressed with his attitude when getting off the mark at Thirsk last time and WATCHING STARS is taken to follow up on handicap debut.
He was involved in a sustained duel with Valiant Knight at the North Yorkshire track and battled on well to edge out his rival. That represented improved form and he seems certain to relish this significant step up in trip.
NEXT LEFT - 2.08 Southwell
He didn’t get home under a positive ride over three miles at this track last time and NEXT LEFT can make amends for the Skeltons.
The return to two-and-a-half miles is a plus for him and the way he went through the contest when second to A Definite Getaway suggested he’s capable of winning races from this mark.
JUNKANOO - 3.40 Fontwell
He ran well for a long way when fifth on his return at Plumpton and JUNKANOO is entitled to strip fitter and go close in this.
Gary and Josh Moore’s charge has been dropped a pound and appeals as potentially well treated on the pick of his novice form from last season while the headgear, left off for the return, goes back on.
RAWAASI - 6.40 Kempton
She’s proving hard to win with but RAWAASI shaped well stepped up to this trip for the first time at Southwell last time and is given another chance.
The daughter of Blue Point is in good hands and was strong in the market when chasing home Inhibit. From an unchanged mark, she must go close if in the same form.
