JAMIE BOND – 4.43 Musselburgh (NAP)
It could be worth taking a chance on JAMIE BOND in the 5f handicap at Musselburgh (4.43) on Wednesday. Bryan Smart has a very good record with his Musselburgh runners, especially early in the campaign, and this sprinter looks well handicapped now off 56 given he has won and been competitive off 69. He’s an in and out character, but his last run off 10 weeks off was very encouraging at Newcastle and back on turf from a draw towards the stands’ rail he can go well.
WOT YOU WEARING – 2.55 Exeter
The Hall Down Hill Novices’ Handicap Chase is far from overflowing with in-form horses but that makes it all the more open and a chance is taken on WOT YOU WEARING. He’s not badly treated on his best hurdling form and his saddle slipped on chasing debut in Wales so he had excuses. His trainer Robert Stephens does well when he sends them to Exeter in the spring and if this one takes to fences second time up he’ll have his chance.
ORGANIC – 4.15 Ludlow
ORGANIC can leave her previous hurdling form behind now she goes handicapping in the Weatherbys Hamilton Mares’ Handicap Hurdle at Ludlow. Plenty of trust has to be placed in her trainer Neil Mulholland here as she has only shown glimmers of ability over hurdles, but she was good on the Flat – 77-rated – and if she can transfer that ability to the hurdling game she could be thrown in off a mark of 91.
WEST TYRONE – 4.55 Southwell
WEST TYRONE has improved significantly since going handicapping in cheekpieces and he’s worth sticking with in his current form in the BetMGM: It’s Showtime Handicap over 1m at Southwell. Kevin Ryan’s horse just about made all over this course and distance last time and impressed with the way he galloped strongly through the line. The second has franked the form since and a 5lb rise in the weights might not be enough to stop him here.
