Estrange failed to frank the form up in class at Yarmouth earlier this week, but CHARLOTTE’S WEB has shown enough – including when denied a clear run over and finishing with running left over C&D last month - to make a case for a mark of 77 being fair. She has a good draw to work from, could get an easy time on the lead if connections decide to ride her prominently once more, and the Simon and Ed Crisford-trained filly is fancied to make a winning handicap debut.
Tristan Davidson looks like he’s getting to grips with ROUGH DIAMOND who can go one better than last time in the Follow Us On X @HamiltonPark Handicap over six furlongs. The seven-year-old arrived from Edward Lynam’s in August and he has got better with each run for his new yard, his second at Newcastle last time out over six furlongs a big step in the right direction. It looks significant that Davidson has pointed him at Hamilton, a track the trainer does so well at, and he can break his duck for his new stable at the fifth attempt.
Chris Gordon’s AUCUNRISQUE looks the class act on Plumpton’s Sunday card and he can go in in the Friends & Family Remembering Norman Sharpe Handicap Hurdle over two miles. The eight-year-old dropped 10lb in three hurdles runs earlier in the year so he looks well treated freshened up and he has a good record after time off. He’s won over the course and distance off a higher mark and with Freddie Gordon taking a further 5lb off a bold bid from the front is expected.
