Understandably, it's not everyone's cup of tea to back a once-raced horse at a short price on the back of a promising run.

Whosyourhousemate fits that bill as he's favourite for the mile maiden after a 50/1 debut that resulted in a close third at Lingfield behind the now 86 rated Blaze Of Glory.

Runner-up Fashion Business won next time and has been allotted a mark of 82 while the fourth - beaten six and a half lengths - ran respectably at Kempton and will be running off 71 if venturing into handicap company next time.

In short, that was a highly promising start and he may not need to improve on that to win an average maiden. Whosyourhousemate does, of course, have to build on his debut and prove that he can act on this surface and neither of those are a given. 

Trainer Ed Vaughan has only saddled one winner at Southwell from 11 runners but another seven have finished in the next three places so he clearly knows what a horse needs to run well here and the three-year-old's sire, Bahamian Bounty, gets his share of winners at this venue; Whosyourhousemate can be another.
