Won with a bit to spare in spite of the official 'neck' verdict at Chester last time, where the move up to seven furlongs clearly helped. A subsequent 6lb rise doesn't look enough to stop him here.

Didn't have to improve on debut form to win readily at Pontefract but loads to like about the colt that day and he's bred to handle both the move up to 10 furlongs and the potentially testing conditions.

Wasn't brilliantly away from the stalls on debut but showed a great attitude in the closing stages and likely to have learnt a great deal. His stable is going really well at the moment too.

Andrew Balding's recruit has finally got some cut in the ground and he looks a serious contender back at York where he was a good second to Forest Of Dean on his penultimate outing.
