Pro punter and National Hunt specialist Murt Khan has selections on the cards at Sedgefield and Southwell this afternoon.
This market is led by the Dan Skelton-trained Daring Knight, he's coming into the race as a maiden and as said many a time over the summer improvement can be expected. But the first-time sheepskin pieces are a little disconcerting.
Apachee Prince is the most consistent of these and he is likely to run his race again but there isn't much juice in his price at all.
The one I like is OISHIN at 11/1 (General).
I put him up on his last start and jockey Dale Irving was nudging away as early as halfway and he never looked like landing a blow. That was over the minimum trip of two miles and a step up in trip was the obvious move.
I would prefer more cut in the ground today but with him dropping down to a mark of 93, potentially stripping fitter for the run and stepping up in trip, I'm willing to chance him at 11/1.
TOE TO TOE ran a cracker last time and may have hit the front too soon having been run down in the last 50 yards.
I'm hoping this time Mitchell Bastyan follows in the footsteps of Frankie Dettori aboard Enable on Sunday and counts to 10 before pressing the button!
He's worth a bet at the generally available 7/1.
1pt win Oishin in 2.00 Sedgefield at 11/1
1pt win Toe To Toe in 2.40 Southwell at 7/1
