Nathan Moscrop was suspended for 10 days by the Perth stewards following his victory aboard Im Too Generous in a dramatic 9 Lives Challenge Novices' Handicap Chase.
Six runners went to post in the three-mile heat, with Moscrop having made all on Rebecca Menzies' 9-2 chance before three rivals - Millarville, Fyfin Patsy and Heavey - came to grief at the fourth-last obstacle.
That left Court Dreaming in a remote second behind Im Too Generous, but he unshipped his rider with three to jump, while Serosevsky was pulled up before that fence.
Moscrop and Im Too Generous safely negotiated the final two fences before cantering home, but the stewards felt the rider had broken the rules in that he "failed to dismount his horse when it appeared to have gone lame after the final fence".
The veterinary officer and veterinary surgeon were interviewed after the race along with Moscrop, with the veterinary officer reporting the gelding to have finished lame on his left-fore, resulting in a ban for the winning rider.
