Man On The Spot best bets for Tuesday's all-weather meeting at Newcastle

Check out our resident tipster's race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Tuesday's meeting at Newcastle.

12.45 (All times BST, live on Sky Sports Racing, click on times for full racecard and FREE video form): Both Jackstar and Amplification have something to prove over this far tough the latter looks the more favourably handicapped while Breanski has done his recent winning over 7f but is a course and distance winner in the past and has to come into the reckoning. Tough Remedy hasn’t won for a while now but was last seen going close at Kempton in February but Star Shield scored at Ascot last summer and finished a close-up sixth over track and trip in November. Al Erayg may prove best of Tim Easterby’s three runners but SIGLO SIX (NAP) looks on a decent mark considering the dual winner should improve further this year and he gets the vote on his first outing since being gelded with Andrea Atzeni taking over the reins.

13.20: Fifth Position and Dark Vision faced stiff tasks in valuable handicaps at the end of last year and there was little between them in the Cambridgeshire in September. Both will find life easier at this level while Danny Tudhope prefers Firmament to So Beloved though neither look favourably handicapped and the same can be said of Sandret, who scored over 1m2f at Doncaster in September. Raydiance has recorded all four wins so far over shorter trips but Kempton winner Sir Busker has a shout off his current mark as does IRREVERENT. A progressive three-year-old winning three of last year’s eight outings including a winning seasonal debut, Richard Fahey’s charge should make a bold bid on first outing on the all-weather.

13.55: JEAN BAPTISTE gets a speculative vote in a field of mostly unexposed three-year-olds handicapping for the first time. Narrowly beaten over today’s trip at Kempton on his last couple of outings, he’s been gelded subsequently and Sir Michael Stoute has an impressive strike rate at this venue. Custodian shares ownership with the selection and won at Pontefract back in August while Overwrite scored easily at Brighton in October. Amazing News won a novice event at Wolverhampton and is another to consider while Canagat and Melody King are both winners over 7f though Yorkshire Gold scored over 6f at Leicester. Borsdane Wood has won a handicap at Southwell though this is much tougher.

14.30: Glen Shiel won over 7f here in January though has yet to race over today’s trip and Gabrial The Wire ended last year with a victory over the extended 7f at Chester. The latter’s stablemate Growl is preferred on his second in last year’s Ayr Gold Cup and beat Hyperfocus a neck at Ripon earlier in the year while Camacho Chief and Admirality have something to prove at this level as does MUBAKKER. But the latter has the more scope having won twice over today’s trip on the all-weather last year before finding the soft ground against him at Ascot in October and Sir Michael Stoute’s grey colt should be bang there at the finish on his reappearance.

15.05: Lockdown is related to several winning sprinters including the useful Fuente and could be in the mix. But MUTAZAWWED is out of a Listed winner and half-sister to a Group 1-winning sprinter and Mark Johnston’s colt is expected to go well. Significantly was an early foal and has plenty of speed in his pedigree while Strike Red is a full-brother to Group 2 winner Juliet Capulet among others. Sound Reason is related to a prolific winner on the all-weather and preferred to Fools Rush In of the remainder.

15.40: Internationaldream is worth noting for the Fahey yard and Andronicus Beau is a half-brother to a winner over 6f and could go well. Pacha Prince is speedily-bred early type though already gelded while both Victory Heights and Digital hail from yards that can get one ready for action. EMIRATI DIRHAM is a half-brother to several winners including the smart sprinter Stake Acclaim and John Quinn’s colt is worthy of consideration especially if the betting speaks in his favour.

16.15: Electric Blue is the first foal of a winner over a mile and drawn on the rail while Aish has the speedier pedigree and is drawn high. Dandalla is a full-sister to a 7f winner while Imperial Butterfly is the first foal of a half-sister to a Group 1 winner. Navajo Spring is related to several winners and another to consider along with VIRGINIA PLANE. The latter is a half-sister to stablemate Liberty Beach, who won four times over the minimum trip in 2019 including the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes and also made a winning debut.

16.50: Country Carnival is the first foal of a Listed winner and Desert Vision could also go well. Hope Of Life is a full-sister to a Listed winner while stablemate Signora Princess, the first foal of a Listed winner in Germany, give Kevin Ryan a strong hand in this. Pelekai is related to a 6f winner on the all-weather and comes into the reckoning but WINTER POWER has bags of speed in her pedigree as a half-sister to four winners over 5f including the smart Hay Chewed and Tim Easterby’s filly may prove the one to side with.

17.25: Azzuri has won over hurdles and fences and is potentially well treated on his return to the Flat while Multellie has been hurdling though won over today’s trip at Hamilton last year. Sexy Beast missed the whole of 2019 and finished runner-up over track and trip on his comeback in February while Blue Medici scored at Wolverhampton in November and Ajman Prince won here in the same month and has undergone wind surgery since last in action. But MOUNTAIN RULER is the least exposed of these having gone close in novice company at Southwell in February on only his second outing and Mark Johnston’s charge gets the vote with more to come now handicapping.

18.00: Medal Winner returned an easy winner in maiden company at Brighton last summer and looks sure to be winning handicaps this year but MOLL DAVIS is preferred. George Scott’s filly won twice in 2019 and finished a creditable third in a Listed contest on a trip over to France in October. Sucellus narrowly beat Cape Cavalli at Sandown on his first start after wind surgery and has switched yards subsequently while Cockalorum and Arctic Fox are not out of this off their respective current marks. Jus Pires and Trevithick were winning here in February though both face stiffer tasks upped in class today.
