There's a lot of rain forecast later on in the west of Ireland but Killarney starts the day as yielding, yielding to soft in places so we'll have to keep half an eye on the weather as ever.

In the Killarneyraces.ie Median Auction Maiden I like TUNED FOR POWER (General 1/5 1,2,3) for Joseph Murphy. He's been a bit of a slow burner but his last start at Galway was a big step up and he was a bit of value for finishing third as he got checked by the second Teed Up, who came out and won last night.

The winner was an impressive winner off a mark of 86 too so the race has been given a real boost in the last 24 hours and Tuned For Power has looked like a mile would suit him well.

The yard's horses have come good in the last week and with question marks about those ahead of him in the betting, he looks a solid proposition.

The other one I'm happy to have a dart at is TASALKA in the Sauternes Cup Race.

I was keen on Keats the last day and he remains of interesting despite the fact he goes through the motions a little bit, while Barbados and Bolivar are respected too.

But Dermot Weld's filly gets weight from the colts and although she has a little bit to find with these rivals, Weld is taking off 5lb with one of the riders of the moment in Dylan Browne McMonagle so she's getting 12lb off Keats and more off Barbados.

If you go back to her juvenile form all of her runs were good except for the last start but she ran well at Naas when the stable was a bit slow to come to hand and she stepped up on that when up in trip last time.

She was idling after showing a good turn of foot and I think that tactical speed will be a key point here. I actually rode her dam and a lot of the family stayed well and she'll also handle a bit of cut if the rain really comes in by 4.05.

The 10/1 with bet365 this morning looks more than fair.
