A couple of Dundalk tips today and LAY IT OUT looks fair value against the favourite in the seven furlong maiden at 4.30.
Market leader Spilt Passion has performed well in Dundalk but has a wide draw and despite getting all the weight she's worth opposing.
Lay It Out ran superbly well on her first try on the surface when drawn out in stall 16. She stayed on to be second behind Queens Carriage and the way she finished suggests she'll relish stepping up to seven furlongs.
Joseph O'Brien's Queenship is weighted to reverse the form in this event but at the prices I'm inclined to side with the Harrington filly.
In the same race, Desert Lime trialled well here at Dundalk earlier in the year, finishing upsides, but that trial didn't work out too well and it's slightly offputting we've not seen the horse until now.
I've a very interesting one in the 6.00 and LADY GEORGIE is clear value at a current price of 20/1 (bet365). She showed some good juvenile form and we didn't see her back until October when she ran well.
Last time on Polytrack debut she finished half a length behind today's favourite and right behind Zofar Zogood. She's well worth chancing at the odds with the yard in top form here.
Ballinlough Gale looks to have stamina doubts over the extended 10 furlongs in that race.
Readers should also keep an eye on trainer Kieran Cotter's runners today. He's got three strong chances who should all be really competitive.
Another one to note is John Kiely's Blackpoint who would probably have been a selection had he fared a bit better with the draw. He's certainly interesting switching to Polytrack having been dropped 4lb from the last run at Naas when making his handicap debut.
