I like the look of three horses at Navan this afternoon starting with REVOLUTME in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Premier Nursery Handicap at 2.15.

Johnny Murtagh’s yard are in terrific form and this filly beat today’s rivals Tammany Hall and Tar Heel impressively at the Curragh after making all under Danny Sheehy.

She’s gone up 6lb and has to take on those rivals off revised terms, but Tar Heel is up 4lb as well and I’m not convinced this bare five furlongs will suit him.

Revolutme showed good pace at the Curragh and I don’t think the drop back to five will bother her at all, so at 5/1 (General) she’s worth a small win bet with the yard firing.

In the Metges Lane Maiden at 3.20 King Of The Throne looks worth taking on as I’m not sure he’s all that resolute under pressure, for all that he’s got ability, and EAGLEMONT is a strong each-way fancy against him at 6/1 (Betfair, Paddy Power 1/5 1,2,3).

He was beaten by the Derby winner Serpentine on debut but came on plenty for that when third at Cork in a maiden behind Taramansour in July.

Last time he was a good second behind Shoshone Warrior, a horse that has gone on to be highly-tried afterwards, at Leopardstown, and the form looks good with the third, Mona’s Star, going on to win at Roscommon.

He’s had a tongue-tie on all starts so I think the drying ground will help his chance and 10 furlongs should really suit him today at Navan.

Finally, GREGORY’S GIFT is worth a punt at 16/1 (Betfair, Paddy Power 1/5 1,2,3,4,5) in the Abbey Road Handicap at 4.20.

This is wide open but I like Seamus Fahey’s horse at the prices as he shaped very well at the Curragh two starts ago when a four-length fourth to Roving Mission.

He didn’t get the best of runs through that day and it’s worth forgiving his subsequent flop at Cork on account of the heavy ground.

Also, he was too keen over 10 furlongs last time out as well, so back down to a mile today from a good draw should suit, with the better ground and 3lb drop in the weights helping, too.
