Frankie Dettori can't wait for Cracksman ride at Epsom

Frankie Dettori is excited at the prospect of continuing his association with Cracksman in the Investec Coronation Cup at Epsom on Friday.

Europe's highest-rated horse, trained by John Gosden, is sure to start at prohibitive odds for the Group One over the Derby course and distance after kicking off his four-year-old campaign with an impressive victory in the Prix Ganay at Longchamp.

However, last year's Champion Stakes hero potentially faces decent opposition, including Dubai Sheema Classic winner Hawkbill, as he steps back up to a mile and a half for the first time since lifting the Prix Niel at Chantilly last September.

"Cracksman is doing really well. I've been riding him a few times and I'm looking forward to riding him (on Friday)," Dettori told At The Races.

"He's a special horse - the highest-rated horse in Europe - and of course I'm excited.

"He's run twice at Epsom and has won once and was third in the Derby.

"I can't wait to ride him."
