This two-mile handicap hurdle is about one horse for me. KNIGHT COMMANDER had his first start for Olly Murphy at Newton Abbot and romped home in very easy fashion. He's worth backing to win again.
He was a tad novicey at times and ran a little keen, but this didn't hinder him one bit and he was sprinting away before being eased by Richard Johnson.
He showed decent ability on the Flat too and it looks like he has carried this over hurdles under Murphy. With a 7lb penalty, 4/6 looks a big enough price on paper to me.
Mash Potato has started to find his feet over hurdles but looks like he's found his level and isn't thrown in.
Camaplu could improve now he's gone handicapping.
But on all evidence Knight Commander should be very hard to be beat.
