The weights are headed by the one time useful Barizan.  He hasn't been performing badly on the Flat recently and in what looks a modest enough race, if he translates this form over hurdles he could run a decent race.

Hallings Comet comes to this with a couple of solid runs over course and distance.  He ran into a very well handicapped horse last time and is respected.

For me FREE STONE HILL is a winner running without a penalty.  I put him up on his last run and, for me, he should've been a two length victor at Stratford. I felt Harry Skelton did everything right apart from not kicking on earlier.

One of my pet hates in NH racing is when jockeys don't ask for a horse's effort before the last on a track with a short run in as this give's no room for error at the final flight. Free Stone Hill blundered at the last, losing ground and momentum which ultimately cost him the race when he could've been three lengths up approaching the flight.

He remains open to improvement and remains well handicapped and with the run of the race, I think he will take the beating today.
