This is a very modest contest and half of the sixteen runners seemingly have no form to offer.
Bell Weir is the obvious favourite and is the only horse who has really held any sort of form. I think he will appreciate stepping up in trip today as in his last two runs he has lacked a bit of zip once the pace has quickened. He is the one to beat.
Both Green Zone and Heaven Scent have been out of form. They are both available at single figures which shows how modest a contest this is and it's hard to encourage a bet on either.
CADORE is a horse who has been racing on the flat and over jumps. His recent flat efforts have been very poor indeed but there is encouragement to be had from his hurdle runs.
Two starts back over course and distance he forced a hard pace but fared best from those up there, plugging on for third. His start at Musselburgh over three miles was also a solid effort and he may not have quite stayed the trip that day. A repetition of his last hurdle run will see him go close.
The Last Leg is half interesting of the bigger priced ones.
