AFTER HOURS was really consistent last season and was progressing with each run over fences.
I fancied him last time as I thought his high cruising speed would make up for the drop down in trip. He actually travelled okay but just couldn't get into any real rhythm with his jumping, which may have been a bit of early-season rustiness, or he may have found things happening a tad too quickly for him.
I like him stepping back up in trip here, albeit on a sharp track and that will hopefully help with his jumping.
He is well handicapped on last season's efforts and 8/1 looks big.
Miami Present has really found his form and is respected but, with his consistency, his handicap mark continues to surge and may find it difficult off his current mark.
The Happy Chappy's task was made a lot easier by Quietly running out early doors at Sedgefield last time but he remains unexposed and could have more to come.
Petite Power has some solid efforts to his name and is capable of putting in a big performance especially if the first time cheekpieces eke out some more improvement.

OSCAR ROSE's bumper form is rock solid and not far off being the best on offer in this maiden hurdle despite there being a very short priced favourite in Cockney Wren.
Her jumping was mediocre on her hurdling debut at Warwick and she probably did quite well to finish second in the end.
Her last run at Chepstow saw her jump a lot better and she wasn't beaten too far in fourth. She should improve a bit for that effort and looks a sound each-way bet at 4/1.
1pt win After Hours in 3.30 Ludlow at 8/1
1pt e.w. Oscar Rose in 1.25 Ludlow at 4/1
