Gustave Mahler represents a top yard and has a progressive profile. He may get a chance to dictate the pace but on his last couple of performances his mark of 132 looks stiff enough.

I like Just Milly as an individual and these look to be her ideal conditions. If she can leave her last run behind her and is ready to go after a break she looks tempting at 9/1.

Werenearlyoutofit has an even lengthier absence to overcome. A big, strong gelding he was impressive on his last start 778 days ago - it's taken on trust whether he retains his ability but on his past performances he has both a touch of class and a willing attitude.

Ian Williams is a master when it comes to training dual-purpose horses and this is once again apparent with the recent efforts of COOL SKY. The eight-year-old gelding won in good fashion at Fontwell in the spring and followed that run with a solid effort in a slowly-run race at Ffos Las. Since then he has performed with a lot of credit on the flat, winning on his last start, beating a couple of well-handicapped rivals.

It looks like he needs more of a test these days and has a very solid look about him today.

With a few question marks about his rivals, Cool Sky looks a solid play at 2/1
