Wot A Shot caused a surprise last time out making all over course and distance. Her confidence seemed to have been at an all time low chasing and having won last time over hurdles connections are hoping she can build on what was a confidence-boosting victory.
NOVO DAWN looked dangerous 4f out at Cartmel but the jockey may have made a move too soon on slow ground. He disappointed previously in the same race won by Wot A Shot, there is a possibility he may be a slightly weak finisher but he's worth a small interest on decent ground with a top jockey on board.
There's not much else for me to get excited about in this race apart from PINOTAGE. This is his first run for Gordon Elliott after a 608 day lay off. Having been a fair dual purpose horse for Peter Niven, new connections will be hoping they have got him back to somewhere near his previous best.
It's interesting he's been kept in training now that he is a nine year old and I have confidence that Elliott will have him spot on for his comeback run today. In a poor race I'm happy to chance him at 7/2.

BISE D'ESTRUVAL was an eyecatcher on his first start for Nigel Twiston-Davies at Ffos Las. He ran very freely that day and showed up for a long way before weakening on bottomless ground and eventually unseating Zac Baker.
The fences came a bit quickly for him at Ludlow on his chase debut and he seemed to give himself a fright with a couple of mistakes - things seem to be going more smoothly for him then at Taunton before falling four out.
He has his first run for Dan Skelton after a four-month plus break with the application of a tongue tie. I thought I saw a horse who had the natural ability to be rated around the 125 mark at Ffos Las and if he put's everything together against a modest bunch, it should be good enough to see him victorious.
