SKY BET PRICE BOOST: TURBAN TO WIN 3.40 FONTWELL
A year and a half ago TURBAN was trained by Willie Mullins, rated 150 and went off a 20/1 shot for the Grand National.
He joined Paul Henderson two starts later and since his run in the National there are as many letters as there are numbers in his form figures.
His last sign of form was when he won off his current mark of 112 at Plumpton three starts ago. It wasn't the most competitive race in the world but he showed some zing and it was a nice confidence booster.
He followed that run with a couple of poor efforts which has led to him falling back to his last winning mark. Over the winter and spring he had 10 starts for the trainer and reappears today after a 150-day lay off.
Nothing stands out for me in this race and if he comes back a rejuvenated horse after a nice summer break he has the talent to spring a surprise. There is every chance the horse may have had enough of the racing game, but if there's any time he's worth chancing it's today after a summer's break and at the odds of 20/1.
