Princess Tara has had one run in the best part of a year and a half. She also may be better on a sound surface, so for me she has a bit to prove and 5/2 doesn't appeal in this novices' handicap chase.
Beau Bay is a horse who has performed in a very consistent manner since going chasing but I feel he may be better on a flat track and may not have much scope off his current mark, which is 11lb higher than when he won at Perth three starts ago.
Champagne Chaser won well last time out over course and distance after seven months off. The handicapper has put him up 7lb for his efforts but he is feared today if able to build on that.
Top weight BIGIRONONHISHIP gets the vote, however.
This horse has been finished placed on all his starts over fences. All of those runs read pretty well and have been against very useful, hardy chasers.
He's a relatively young horse who probably hasn't peaked yet either and being aged six would've matured further over the summer.
Two and a half miles on on a stiff track with give under foot should be perfect for him and 11/4 looks decent value after a good run in a better race when last seen.
