There is no doubt if Irish raider Brutal shows up in A1 nick he should win this juvenile hurdle in a relatively comfortable manner.
A smart horse on the Flat, his previous experience over hurdles could also count for a lot, as there is every chance his closest rivals in the market may be tentative early doors and take a while to find their rhythm.
However, I'm willing to take him on today as he ran way below par on his last start and I'm not sure what his previous winning effort amounts to, even though he secured it in cosy enough fashion.
A horse who doesn't have as much natural ability as Brutal but is consistent and displays a willing attitude is BODACIOUS NAME.
He has been improving throughout the summer on the level and comes from a yard who do very well with their dual-purpose horses.
I like the fact he relishes cut in the ground and is a real strong stayer. That combination normally bodes well for a Flat horse going jumping.
Crucially, he receives 7lb from Brutal and if taking to hurdling I expect him to put in a bold showing.
