Ballyrock impressed last time out at Fakenham and there is every chance he will do the same again. I expect Richard Johnson to give him an aggressive ride once again today and, although he's the one to beat, I think there is more depth to his competition in this race than the market suggests.
Ascendant has been holding his form for a while on both the Flat and over jumps, he has conditions to suit and should be thereabouts.
Awaywiththegreys seems to have lost his way in his last couple of starts but could appreciate the sounder surface.
A horse who has been frustrating to follow is BALLYCASH. He has been a beaten favourite a few times now but has performed solidly at times and I feel there are feasible reasons for him underperforming on his last two starts.
He made his chase debut two starts ago and was well backed, however he blundered badly at the first and was never going afterwards. Next time up I thought the track could catch him out and it did, he was never comfortable and found things happening all too quickly at Fakenham.
Today he has a nice galloping track to give him a chance to find some rhythm and he should enjoy what should be a fast-run race. Being a six year old he may have some more improvement in him in comparison to the market leaders and at 10/1 he looks too big.

SUPER SCORPION beat a well-handicapped horse last time over course and distance, they finished clear of their field and I think this improving seven year old can step up once again.
