There is a competitive graded card at Romford this evening, and Piemans Angel (T1) could prove to be the best bet in the A2 at 9.11.

The daughter of Magical Bale has progressed through the grades since making her debut in April and clocked an impressive 24.18 when winning impressively in A3 company here two starts ago. She was only narrowly denied when third at this level on Saturday and a repeat of that effort might be good enough.

The return to four bends and drop in grade should help Yahoo Anna (T3) in the A4 at 6.53. She twice hit the crossbar at this level last month before struggling to make an impact in a 225m open when last seen.

This May '22 bitch has the pace to take the early lead here and could be hard to catch if doing so.

Finally, the unexposed Vinegarhill Lar (T3) can get off the mark in the UK at 8.01. The Pestana dog caught the eye when runner-up at this level on just his second start at this venue last month and he tops the shortlist with further improvement highly likely.
