After hitting the crossbar in more ways than one on Thursday, Ben Coley has a pair of selections for Friday's play in the US Open.
2pts Grillo to beat Fox and Olesen at 5/4
1pt Rebula to beat Dufner and Kizzire at 33/10
Thursday's 10/1 treble came unstuck due to a disappointing round by Nick Taylor, with Xander Schauffele and Brian Stuard both keeping up their end of the bargain and winning convincingly.
It might well be worth taking the hint and playing the double this time, with those two just over 3/1 combined with bet365, but with the market having adjusted in both cases, we'll widen the search.
First, Emiliano Grillo appeals as a solid bet to take care of Ryan Fox and Thorbjorn Olesen for the second day running.
The sweet-swinging Argentine exuded long-game control in the first round as he carded an opening 68, six shots better than an out-of-sorts Fox, who hasn't produced his best since February.
With Olesen having relied on a red-hot putter - he ranked seventh in the field on the greens - Grillo's advantage looks likely if anything to be extended as the course firms up a little and rewards those who are in the fairway.
At 5/4 in a place, Grillo rates the bet of the day.
Those looking for a bigger price should consider Jordan Spieth, who might be able to reverse first-round form with Justin Rose and Tiger Woods.
It's interesting to note that Rose leads the PGA Tour in second-round scoring this season, but more relevant is the fact that he and Woods both made everything they looked at in rounds of 65 and 70 respectively.
That wasn't the case for Spieth, but he came home in a bogey-free 35 and can work his way back into the tournament.
However, better value lies in the quotes of around 3/1 that Jovan Rebula outscores Jason Dufner and Patton Kizzire.
Rebula, or Ernie Els' nephew as he's better know, played really well to shoot one-under, a continuation of the second-round fightback he produced at the Memorial last time.
It's a big ask to back it up, but with Kizzire having carded a round of 80 and simply not cut out for this test, 3/1 in what could amount to a match looks generous after Rebula matched Dufner on Thursday.
