Wolves v Newcastle (2000 GMT Sky Sports)

Wolves have hit their stride in recent weeks with three straight wins catapulting them into seventh place in the Premier League with a chance to go four points clear in the race for the 'best of the rest' title behind the top six.

It was right at the very limit of their prospects among sensible football experts, but you still have to be impressed with how they've acquitted themselves so far in their first season in the Premier League - they're certainly here to stay!

But what of Newcastle? They've been no pushovers in recent times after beating Man City and Cardiff and only narrowly losing at Spurs last time out - they're a tough nut to crack away from home with only Man Utd and Liverpool scoring more than two against them.

Having struggled to find the net, Wolves have found their shooting boots over the last three games - scoring almost a third of their league tally in those wins - and a warm weather break ahead of this game should have them refreshed and ready to go.

An organised and disciplined Magpies await, and with relegation worries worsening after the weekend they'll be desperate to get something from the game, but I fancy Wolves to just get home - just.

Betting guide

Prediction: Wolves 2-0 Newcastle (Sky Bet odds: 6/1)
Although Wolves have been banging the goals in, I'm thinking this will be a hard work to grab three points, but recent results will keep them plugging away and they'll be well aware of Newcastle's penchant for conceding goals in the last 15 minutes of games.

Best bet: Wolves to win and under 2.5 goals at 9/4
The goal fest ends here, surely! Newcastle don't get ripped apart away from home, Rafa Benitez always plays the safety-first approach and the HT/FT on draw/Wolves also appeals at 7/2 as only Arsenal have more of these results than Wolves - but we'll go for the narrow low-scoring win that first sprung to mind for this game.

Goals: Second half highest scoring half at 23/20
We're basing this on the way the game should go - Newcastle actually have scored more in the first half than the second, but the disparity in the Wolves stats are eye-catching as they've bagged just nine first half goals in the Premier League this season and 24 in the second. Throw in the fact Newcastle have conceded more late goals than anyone else and there's high hopes for this one.

RequestABet: Wolves win, under 2.5 goals, Raul Jimenez to score & 10+ match corners
