As ever, there are many sub plots and it makes for an interesting match.
In this fixture, it has usually been Manchester United chasing the title. This time they have a big say, but not how they would have hoped at the start of the season - because either way a rival of theirs benefits from the result - with advantage going to either Liverpool or Man City.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be taking notice of that though, with all thoughts on continuing his unbeaten run in the Premier League since taking over as interim manager and they look well on course for a top four finish.
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, however, are six unbeaten in all competitions now and can go top of the table with Man City in Carabao Cup action.

But the price on the hosts to score two or more goals is just as eye-catching with the added insurance of a possible draw. The Red Devils have scored 28 goals in 13 games under the Norwegian and, with the confidence they are currently playing with, two goals at Old Trafford is worth considering.
