Our EFL tipster Nick Hext is going low on goals when QPR face Brentford in a Sky Bet Championship derby on Monday night.
Under 2.5 goals in QPR v Brentford, Sky Bet Championship (Monday, 1945 GMT, Sky Bet Football)
The latest round of Sky Bet EFL matches ends on Monday night when QPR host Brentford in a West London derby live on Sky Sports. I'm not expecting a classic so the advice is to go low on goals. The game between these sides at Loftus Road last season ended in a 2-0 win to Brentford and I'm also expecting this match to come in at under the 2.5 goals mark. That bet has been a winner in three of the last four contests for the Bees and another close encounter is expected with bragging rights at stake.
There isn't any Friday night action in the Sky Bet EFL so Barnsley's Yorkshire derby against Leeds gets things started at Saturday lunchtime for Sky Sports viewers. The visitors to Oakwell are the favourites to get the three points but I'm going to go for an early goal as my best bet. Three of Leeds' last seven matches have contained a goal in the first 10 minutes and it was a 15th minute opener in Wednesday night's defeat at Wolves. There's around 3/1 available across the board for a goal before the end of 10th minute against the Tykes and I'll take a small slice of that.
MK Dons to beat Doncaster, Sky Bet League One (Saturday, 1500 GMT)
MK Dons are good value at 4/1 to extend their unbeaten record to six matches with victory at Doncaster on Saturday afternoon. Robbie Neilson's side have won four of their last seven matches on the road and just shouldn't be such a big price to return south with three points. Doncaster are a decent side but they are winless in their previous three home matches and shouldn't be taken as odds-on favourites. It all makes sense to get with the Dons.
Stevenage to beat Cambridge, Sky Bet League Two (Saturday, 1500 GMT)
It will be hard to go as badly as last Saturday for Cambridge as they host Stevenage in Sky Bet League Two. The U's lost 7-0 at title favourites Luton but did at least manage to restore a little bit of pride when drawing 0-0 with Cheltenham in midweek. Cambridge are now winless in their last four outings and haven't managed to score a goal during that run. Stevenage make plenty of appeal at 13/5 to get the win despite suffering from inconsistency. Darren Sarll's men have won two, drawn two and lost two of their previous six outings but they are worth giving a chance at the odds available.
Sheffield United lost 5-4 at home to Fulham in midweek but I don't think it will be quite as much of a thriller against Birmingham in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Saturday evening. The Blades remain at the heart of the promotion scrap and they deserve to be odds-on favourites to get the better of Blues. I'm expecting this game to be closer than the prices suggest and I want to get with a narrow win for the hosts at Bramall Lane. Three of Sheffield United's last five victories have arrived by just one goal and I expect Chris Wilder's side to once again edge to the three points.
Cardiff to beat Nottingham Forest, Sky Bet Championship (Sunday, 1300 GMT)
Nottingham Forest host Cardiff on Sunday afternoon in a match rearranged due to a police request. This game isn't live on television though so viewers in Britain won't be able to watch a contest in which I expect Cardiff to collect three points. The Bluebirds are out to claim a third victory in a row and they didn't concede a goal in either of those outings. Forest are also impressing with four home victories on the spin but this is a step up in class and Cardiff should be trusted at 17/10 for the win.
