Our Sky Bet EFL expert Nick Hext is keen to get Championship leaders Wolves onside ahead of Monday's clash with Birmingham.
Wolves to beat Birmingham to nil (Monday, 1945 GMT, Sky Sports Football)
Sky Bet Championship leaders Wolves, my tip for promotion before the season began, continue to impress and can take another step towards the Premier League here. They make the short trip to Birmingham on Monday night and I can only see another victory for Nuno's side. It's no surprise that the bookies have Wolves as odds-on favourites so I'll take a bigger price by backing the visitors to St Andrew's to win to nil. The title favourites have claimed five of their last eight wins without conceding a goal and Birmingham have only netted twice in their previous seven outings. They'll struggle to improve upon that record here.
Over 2.5 goals in Leeds v Aston Villa (Friday, 1945 GMT, Sky Sports Football)
There's a cracking clash for Sky Sports viewers to enjoy on Friday night as Leeds host Aston Villa at Elland Road. Thomas Christiansen's Leeds have won two of their last three games to halt speculation that had been mounting over his future after a run of just one victory in the previous eight. Villa boss Steve Bruce was also under pressure at the start of the season but his side are now firmly among the promotion contenders despite plenty of injury problems. This is a clash that promises entertainment and I'm taking the odds-against for over 2.5 goals. This bet has been a winner in 11 of Leeds' last 13 outings and three of Villa's previous four games and I see nothing but more fireworks on Friday.
Barnsley to beat Bolton (Saturday, 1500 GMT)
This is one of the rare occasions during the season that Bolton will be priced up as favourites to get three points and I'm keen to oppose bottom-of-the-table Wanderers despite Barnsley's recent inconsistent record. The Tykes have won two, drawn two and lost three of their last seven matches but both of those victories have come against sides also struggling in the bottom third of the standings as Burton (23rd) and Birmingham (21st) were both dispatched by a two-goal winning margin by Paul Heckingbottom's side. The Tykes can once again show that they are a step above the teams below them in the Sky Bet Championship and are value to do so.
Middlesbrough to beat Bristol City by three or more goals (Saturday, 1730 GMT, Sky Sports Football)
I'm going to take a chance on inconsistent Middlesbrough to win big as my tip for Saturday evening's Sky Bet Championship clash on Sky Sports. Boro travel south to take on Bristol City and I fancy a convincing away win at Ashton Gate. Garry Monk's side have won four and lost four of their last eight but I still see them as promotion contenders and this a good chance to prove their worth against another team in the play-off mix. Bristol City lost 3-0 at home to Leeds just over a month ago and I this looks like a tricky task for the Robins. It will require Boro to be at the top of their game but I think 16/1 for the visitors to win by three or more goals is worth a small play.
