Nottingham Forest v West Brom (1945 BST, Sky Sports Football, City Ground)

The City Ground gets its first competitive taste of a new look Nottingham Forest side when they play host to West Brom in Sky Sports' live Tuesday night game.

Despite facing a side who were recently in the Premier League, Aitor Karanka's Forest hopefully have enough about them to wrap up victory.

The East Midlands outfit secured a point away at Bristol City on opening day but may have felt they could have had more with a positive second-half performance.

The Baggies were stunned at home to Bolton - who are second-favourites for relegation - with Yanic Wildschut's late effort earning all three points for the visitors.

Like Stoke, West Brom have come down into the division and don't seem to have prepared for the intensity that it brings. On paper, they couldn't have asked for a better start, and yet they left empty-handed.

Forest can certainly take more positives from their opening day efforts, with Ashton Gate a tough venue for visiting teams throughout the 2017/18 campaign.

A positive that Karanka's men can take from this game is their strong end to last season at home. Of their final seven in front of their own supporters, they lost just one - that's alongside a 2-0 win over a strong Bournemouth outfit in a friendly at the end of July.

Nottingham Forest boss Aitor Karanka

The referee for this one is Tim Robinson, who can be viewed as one of the stricter referees at this level. He showed five yellows and one red card in Wigan's win over Sheffield Wednesday last weekend. Put that with the average of 35 booking points last season, and it's clear that this one could see further warnings.

Adlene Guedioura was a key figure in the Forest midfield against Bristol City, setting up attacking play whilst also trying his luck on goal himself. He was also cautioned with 50 minutes played.

Given his involvement in the game, and the referee's record with showing cards, the 12/5 available on him to be booked seems perfectly decent value.

Karanka may have built his promotion-winning Middlesbrough side on defence, but this team appears to have the right balance - and one that is capable of finding the net.

Lewis Grabban's arrival from Bournemouth is a great bit of business after he finished as the division's second-highest goalscorer during loan spells at Sunderland and Aston Villa.

El Arbi Hillel Soudani also comes into this side have scored 18 goals and assisting a further nine in the Croatian top-flight, although he didn't feature in Bristol, with Monaco's Gil Dias joining on loan on the back of a spell at Fiorentina in Serie A.

Daryl Murphy, who started up front at the weekend, netted the goal that drew his side level and his 24 goals in the last three seasons shows he is a striker that adds real depth to any forward department.

This Forest team has goals in them, and they will be confident of finding the net more than once on Tuesday night.

Score prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-0 West Brom (Sky Bet odds: 9/1)

Best bet: Nottingham Forest to win and over 1.5 goals in the match at 12/5

Alternative bet: Adlene Guedioura to be carded at 12/5
