This should be an entertaining fixture in Bucharest with two teams in decent form and who played out a 2-2 draw in their first Nations League meeting last month.
Romania have not lost since last November and that was their only defeat in the last 11 games but they’re still second in the group behind Serbia despite being unbeaten so far.
Aleksandar Mitrovic scored both goals in the last game against Romania and also scored both goals in Thursday’s 2-0 win in Montenegro so it goes without saying that he’ll be the main danger.
Prediction: Romania 1-2 Serbia (Sky Bet odds: 9/1)
Best bet: Serbia to win at 7/5
Russia can all-but wrap up their Nations League group if they can repeat the victory they secured in Turkey in their opening game of the campaign.
Turkey bagged a fine 3-2 away win in Sweden in their last game in the competition while Russia couldn’t break the Swedes down in a goalless draw during the week.
There are usually goals when Turkey play though, and they’ll know that pinching a win would then put them in pole position to finish top of the group – but that’ll just leave the back door open for the vastly-improved Russians to exploit.
Prediction: Russia 3-1 Turkey (Sky Bet odds: 18/1)
Neither team can be feeling confident heading into this was as they’ve both only got one win in their last six with Poland beating Japan in the World Cup and Italy defeating the mighty Saudi Arabia back in May.
There are usually goals to shout about though when they play, only three of their last combined 12 games have ended without both teams scoring – including the 1-1 draw between them in this competition last month.
The group already looks gone for both after they both lost to Portugal so thinking positively they may throw caution to the wind and go for broke and provide us with some decent entertainment.
The Italians go in as favourites but having scored just once and after watching their respective displays against Portugal then there’s enough of a case for the Poles to have a bit more desire in front of their home fans to grab the win.
Prediction: Poland 1-0 Italy (Sky Bet odds: 7/1)
Best Bet: Poland to win at 19/10
