Georgia v North Macedonia

Ezgjan Alioski celebrates a goal for Leeds

An earlier kick-off for Tuesday's action with this game starting at 17:00 BST.

Both of these sides started their new Nations League campaign in the best way possible with wins at the weekend. A place in League B is up for grabs for the side who finishes top of their four-team group.

Georgia take favouritism here and a look at their most recent matches at home is a good indicator as to why. In their ten home fixtures since 2018, they have only lost once (that being a 2-0 defeat to Switzerland).

That form is impressive but the majority of their positive results come against teams ranked lower than them. Since their qualifying campaign for the last Euros in 2016, Georgia (91st) have only won one of their 22 competitive fixtures against those above them in the rankings. North Macedonia are 68th in the standings having gone up near 100 places in four years.

Starting for the away side should be Ezgjan Alioski. The Leeds man regularly plays the full 90 minutes when he is involved in the North Macedonia squad.

Despite finding a home at left-back under Marcelo Bielsa's guidance, Alioski's versatility and natural position on the wings means he finds himself often playing further up the pitch when representing his country.

Interestingly, the win over Armenia, where Alioski scored the first goal from the penalty spot, was only the third time he had lined up on the right wing in 33 appearances for North Macedonia. Alongside the goal, that game brought two shots on target.

It's clear that this is a competition that Alioski relishes. He netted three goals in five appearances during their successful League D campaign and remains on track for more with that strike at the weekend. In fact, he's had direct involvement (goal or assist) in six of North Macedonia's 16 Nations League goals.

A best price of 5/1 is available on Alioski to score anytime in this contest, 9/2 across the board, and that looks a tad too generous given his showings for country and the more advanced position he plays in.

It could well be a game that helps North Macedonia take the edge in the battle for promotion, and considering Georgia's form against teams ranked higher than them, the 5/2 on an away victory could also be worth backing.

Best bet: Ezgjan Alioski to score anytime at 5/1

France v Croatia

  • 19:45 BST
France were winners of the 2018 World Cup

In League A, Croatia started their campaign in the worst way possible with a 4-1 hammering by Portugal.

Things don't get any easier given the structure of the competition and they need to find a way to bounce back against the current world champions France.

Didier Deschamps' beat Croatia in that final in Russia in 2018 and they are odds-on to enjoy another victory here. Given their contrasting results, it could be a France win with a margin.

Kylian Mbappe scored the winner in their game against Sweden at the weekend but he could be missing after coming off with an injury towards the end. Deschamps has hinted that he won't risk Mbappe if he isn't fully fit.

France have so much quality throughout the squad though and Mbappe's potential absence, even if he is a star of world football, shouldn't drastically alter their chances of success.

Since that 4-2 victory for France in the World Cup final, Croatia have struggled to kick on. They've managed to win just one of their seven competitive games away from home and have been handed some huge defeats by Spain and Portugal.

France have won six of their seven competitive home games with the only game not ending in victory being the 1-1 draw against Turkey. They're a tough side to beat and they should come out on top in Group 3.

The hosts are 3/4 for victory, a solid selection for any Tuesday accumulators, but taking France to win with a -1 handicap gives a price of 2/1 which is more than appealing.

Four of France's last five home victories have come with at least a two-goal margin with three of the games seeing them hit the net three or more times.

Croatia are struggling in competitive matches with those at the top level of international football and that should continue with defeat in Paris.

Best bet: France (-1 handicap) to beat Croatia at 2/1
