David Moyes heads next Preston North End manager odds

David Moyes is the 7/2 favourite with EFL sponsors Sky Bet to take charge of Preston North End for the second time in his career.

Moyes previously enjoyed a successful spell as Lilywhites boss between 1998 and 2002 but his most recent managerial appointment ended in failure as Sunderland suffered relegation from the Premier League.

Simon Grayson has replaced Moyes at the Stadium of Light and that has led to Sky Bet opening a next Preston manager market.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is second-favourite in the early odds at 4/1 and Scunthorpe chief Graham Alexander, a player at North End between 1999 and 2007, is a contender at 9/2.

Fleetwood manager Uwe Rosler can be backed at 6/1 to leave the Cod Army for a new challenge in the Sky Bet Championship.

Former Norwich boss Alex Neil is priced up at 10/1, while Billy Davies is the second ex-Preston manager in contention for a return to his previous employers at 12/1.
